Job Position:

Electrical Engineer

In this role, you would be part of a dynamic R&D team getting more Cleantech technologies to the market by supporting our engineering team with application specific projects. With multiple projects going on at the same time, the role will take part in various stages of development from the concept to product launch. We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to help develop, maintain and troubleshoot our growing system.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with various chemistries with our BMS (Battery Management System)

  • Communicate with clients to understand their application and finding the right solution with our product.

  • Support in the specifications/manual creation

  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure

  • Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools

  • Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with the team to implement those fixes

  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency

  • Participate in the design of information and operational support systems

  • Research new technologies to improve KPM’s market position

  • Support Applications Engineering with the customer projects


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

  • Four-year degree in the field of Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or Systems Engineering

  • Deep knowledge in the following technologies and languages: Python, C, C++, CAN bus, PI, and LTE/wireless-enabled solutions.   

  • Proven working experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting UNIX /Linux based environments.

  • Experience in schematic and layout design and schematic capture and PCB design; ability to read and effectively interpret engineering drawings.

  • Lab safety knowledge is critical as we will be working with live DC Power

Full Stack Developer Intern/Co-op 

Duration:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Developing a UX/UI interface communicating to our battery management interface

  • Working with a Raspberry Pi, Arduino for telemetry projects

  • Working with marketing, and engineering teams on various projects

  • Supporting the Development Team with various tasks

  • Hands on work testing of web interface

  • Communication of status of projects

 


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3rd year in the field of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering

  • Knowledge in the following languages: Javascript, PHP, Python, CSS, REST, My SQL, REACT

  • Knowledge in C, CAN Bus is an asset

Job Position:


Industrial/Mechanical Engineering Intern/Co-op 

Duration:

Starting September 1, 2021 (4-12 month contract)

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage production timing/processes

  • Maintain quality logs and controls

  • Finding ways to automate processes to simplify assembly

  • Support Hardware team on mechanical designs from customers - harnesses, cases, etc

  • Work with Operations to design SOS API interface

  • Ensure all products leaving KPM are tested/inspected

  • Maintain clear design documentation for harnesses, cases

  • Control of all Engineering Change Requests

  • Interface between Applications/Operations to execute deliveries

  • Designing testers to run improve quality control

 


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3rd year in the field of Mechanical Engineering or Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Electrical/Electronics Engineering

  • Experience in schematic and layout design and schematic capture and PCB design; ability to read and effectively interpret engineering drawings.

  • Lab safety knowledge is critical as we will be working with live DC Power
