KPM Power Outreach Fund

Powering Opportunity. Protecting the Future.

True innovation lives at the intersection of what we build, and the people empowered to build it.

The KPM Power Outreach Fund exists to expand access, equity, and opportunity in clean energy, engineering, and STEM. Rooted in KPM Power’s belief that responsible innovation must benefit people as much as progress, the Outreach Fund supports underrepresented communities through education, mentorship, and essential support initiatives.

Because the future of clean energy should be built by everyone. Safely, ethically, and together.

Why the Outreach Fund Exists

KPM Power was built on a simple conviction: technical excellence and social responsibility go hand in hand.

We believe opportunity shouldn't be a privilege. The Outreach Fund exists to make sure it isn’t. Beginning with breaking barriers to affordable access to food, shelter, and education. Our goal is to help close that gap by investing in people, not just products.

This initiative reflects Founder Karen Lai’s long-standing advocacy for fair work, inclusive innovation, and ethical manufacturing, extending KPM’s values beyond the factory floor and into the communities we serve. â€‹

What We Support
The KPM Power Outreach Fund focuses on initiatives that create long-term, measurable impact, including:

YorkU Bursary & STEM Education

KPM Power demonstrated its commitment to investing in the next generation by pledging $300,000 over five years to support York University students through a bursary and a range of other programs.

As part of this commitment, a $10,000 annual bursary supports two YorkU students enrolled in the Lassonde School of Engineering undergraduate program who identify as women, demonstrate financial need, and have shown community leadership.

The pledge also provides financial support to Lassonde's K2I Academy, an equity-focused initiative dedicated to engaging and supporting underrepresented youth in STEM.

Community Support Initiatives

Recognizing that opportunity starts with stability, the Outreach Fund also supports programs addressing essential needs such as food security and shelter, helping individuals focus on growth, learning, and long-term success.

We are proud to support and partner with:
