Agents of Change

The Electricity Human Resources Canada (EHRC) works to improve and strengthen the electricity sector through their programming and advocation for under-represented groups. One notable way is through the Leadership Accord on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) where EHRC holds a national annual two-day forum by bringing together Canada’s top electricity leaders to promote how DEI is upheld within their organizations.

We are honoured that Karen Lai, our President and Founder was selected to speak at EHRC’s Agents of Change Forum and we acknowledge that her dynamic leadership and commitment to driving culture change is what will continue to make a difference in today’s workforce. Karen shows her dedication to change as an Accord Signatory where she pledges to ensure under-represented groups are supported in their employment by providing equal opportunities to grow and develop to their full potential at KPM Power. Karen shares her vision and current best practices to address her commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion at KPM Power. At KPM Power, we welcome a space that represents Canada’s diverse nation through intentional and strategic hiring practices. This ensures that every employee who walks into KPM Power is valued, respected, and ultimately allows us to work together to collectively reach our goals. The benefit in diversified points of views and experiences is that we begin to expand our thoughts, ideas, and imaginations so that together we can grow, evolve, and realize new and continued successes.

“Diversity is about all of us and about us having to figure out how to walk through this world together” - Jacqueline Woodson

At KPM Power, our commitment to DEI is to promote unity and build a strong company culture. When a company encompasses people from different backgrounds, racial and ethnic cultures and socio-economic status, employees will feel like they are a part of a community and in a community, everyone looks out for each other. Thus, at KPM Power, we pride ourselves in establishing a workplace where everyone is heard.
