In November, KPM Power Inc. brought their team together to discuss different charities and causes that have a significant meaning to them. This allowed us to educate each other on the different challenges people in the community may be facing that we may not have previously known about.
On #GivingTuesday, December 1st, 2020, we kicked off our fundraiser to support Women's Habitat of Etobicoke. We wanted to use this opportunity to not only raise funds for all the amazing work that they're doing but also raise awareness of the impact that they have within the community. Karen Lai, the President of KPM Power made a challenge that the company would match every dollar up to $10,000 this holiday season.
Every day, we saw many others in the community share our campaign through social media as we watched donations from all over start to come in. It didn't matter how big or small because we knew that together, we were going to make a big impact on those who use the services at Women's Habitat.
Just 16 days in, we received a donation to help us reach our challenge. As promised, KPM matched the first $10,000 bringing our total to $20,000. The month is not over and we've continued to see the generosity of the community. We could not have done any of this without your help.
